A home to Sir William Johnson, a popular public figure, built Johnson Hall State Park in 1763 and was later, acquired by the state in 1906 making it a historic site. House tours are offered to stroll in this site and feel like Sir William Johnson and how it bustled with activity during those times.
A Georgian style, 73 acres mansion built in 1763 was a great place of stay for many American Bureaucrats. After its owner s (Schuylers) death in 1804, it was used as a Roman Catholic Orphanage until 1886.
