The atmosphere of this park is constantly changing making it a must see fall bird migration. Allaire State Park is very attractive 19th century town with unique Steam Trains on the Pine Creek Railroad. All facilities of lakes are provided here.
Established in southwestern part Parvin State Park not only has pine forests but also a swamp hardwood forest. Hundreds of different flowers grow here filling the air with their fragrances. Many international refugees were camped here and from park s early history remains of Indian American, camps are still here.
Don t think about a sports match or a TV show when we talk about Double Trouble State Park which derived its name from a timber selling company. The park s main attraction is its 5000 acres of Pine Barren s home.
A Cedar stream runs through the park providing water to its greenery and many animals. Many historic structures, schoolhouse and sawmills were renovated in order to save them in 1995. Bass River State Forest was glommed by the govt. in 1905 and rebuilt it for public in 1920. The whole park is full of pine/oak woods and a small Atlantic cedar bog. The park has all household facilities in its three campsites, which are open during different times.
Belleplain State Forest was created in 1928 by local authorities for public welfare. The Civil Conservation Corps (CCC) converted Meisle Cranberry Bog into Lake Nummy and it offers all vocational services.
The northern end of Liberty State Park sits New Jersey s transportation history. It also has great picnic areas while the Center and Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal presents its visitors a sweeping view of Hudson River. All four sides of the park are unique in their own style.
Lebanon State Forest used to be barren land in the 1800s, but now the fine fragrance of fresh pine trees welcomes its guests. It s an ideal place for hikers to follow trails under trees and you can also find some remains of a once thriving town.
Some of the endangered and rare plants, can also be explored in its forests. Excellent opportunities for water recreation at Swartswood State Park, as it has a strong lake restoration and watershed management program. The Water in the lake is of high quality. It is open from 1 April to 31 October.
