Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks of California house the some of the largest trees. It can also be found here USA’s deepest canyon, and magnificent Crystal Cave with the native wildlife and huge mountains.

The Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks are two of the most famous parks when visiting California. Both show the diversity and splendor of mother nature. Officially, these two parks are managed by and belong to the State of California.

These parks are a must to visit for those who simply love the outdoor adventure. Witness the foremost attractions which include deep canyons, massive mountains, gigantic caverns, lovely waterfalls, stunning valleys, native wildlife, and the biggest trees in the world

The Kings Canyon is the United States’ deepest canyon. The General Sherman Tree is the biggest tree on earth. And Mount Whitney is the highest peak in the flanking country.

These parks are situated in the Sierra Nevada Mountains’ southern part, and eastern of the San Joaquin Valley. People are easily drawn to its exceptionally large trees. A lot of coppices of the incredible reddish giant sequoia are strewn alongside the humid ramps of the Sierra Nevada. The sequoias are convenient for camping, hiking, and picnic galore. The parks hold scores of rocky yet easy foot hills that make your way through the timbered groves heading to peaceful alcoves.

Sequoia National Park has the Kern Canyon, an awe inspiring glaciated valley running north south close to the eastern perimeter of the park. It also holds the underground magnificence and this is the Crystal Cave. The Cave has notably huge rooms, lovely stalactites, and lavish marble buffed up by a profound stream.

The cave is adorned abundantly with delightful speleothems, raft cones that are seldom formed. Several rare genuses of animals dwell in the cave and its stream. A labyrinth of over three miles long, it lies along the Generals Highway in Sequoia National Park, flanked by the Giant Forest and Ash Mountain.

To go there, you have to drive down the cemented, picturesque path to the parking area. Then, you can trek the half a mile track down to lovely beautiful Cascade Creek and waterfalls and finally to Crystal Cave.

The park holds fourteen campsites. You can also stay at nearest lodges outside the park, next to CA 180 commonly in Visalia. The Holiday Inn Visalia Hotel & Conference Center is the biggest hotel in the vicinity.

Majority of the hotels and lodges include restaurants. The one in Wuksachi Village offers Wolverton barbecue, a tender barbecued ribs and chicken, considered the best tasting meal at this park.

There are more exciting facts worth knowing about Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. It takes pride of their bizarre diverse environments and temperatures. It makes them one of the International Biosphere Reserves in the planet.

The parks present more than 723,000 acres of wilderness and over 850 miles of preserved wilderness routes. It is indeed a very vast property, and the management is very serious in taking care of it. they implement laws, rules and regulations to the visitors to help preserve the beauty of the park.

These parks protect and preserve the wonderful caves. They are also home to unusual minerals, extraordinary animals like bighorn sheep, white tailed jack rabbit, spotted and striped skunks, and marmots.
