Dummies.com is a great place to find lucrative markets to target. When you go to this website you basically click on a category and it lists the most popular articles. Why is this important? This is important as the articles that are the most popular are in most demand by the visitors who use dummies.com. These topics are the most viewed as the demand for products and information within this subject is high. You can also visit the Dummies Store and you can guarantee that if Dummies have took their time to create a book on a certain subject then it is a good market to Hit. You will definitely find a great market here.
Amazon Bestsellers is another great website to use due to its popularity and its category rich Bestsellers List. If its hot then its there and will give you a good idea of what products you need to promote or what products you could create. This is certainly a fantastic resource to find your next honey pot!
You can very easily find affiliate products within any of the categories found on the websites above. If you know that the subject is hot then you cannot fail as there is high demand for that specific product or service so get to work.

Targeting keywords with high competition can be fatal so i would suggest that you try and target long tail keywords as you may find more success. Keywords with three to five words would be easier to rank for within the search engines.
Once you have found a profitable market and a good set of popular keywords, find a few affiliate products within your market, make a blog about it and advertise. You will definitely see some checks through the letterbox.
