Every guy out there has tried a pick up line whenever they are trying to impress some hot woman. The biggest problem is that some men just have no skill at saying the right thing and just end up making a complete fool of themselves. They just drop some lame line and hope it will do the trick. The sad truth is that no matter how many times you try to use a lame pick up line it just will not work.
There are a lot of sites out there dedicated to the best, the worst and the downright lame pick up lines. For a guy that has no luck with pick up lines, they should really take a look at some of these sites. Some of the worst pick up lines I have heard, even tried, are “Was your father a thief?’Cause someone stole the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes.”, “Hello. Are you taking any applications for a boy/girlfriend?”, “Those jeans are skin tight, how do I get into them?”. Now all of these lines sound stupid and will do the exact opposite then what you want them to. The girl will just look at you and walk away, if you are lucky, or she will toss a drink in your face and make a big scene killing your whole night. There are the rare times though that these do work great as ice breakers just to get her to laugh but I wouldn’t really recommend using them.
Now the good pick up lines are the ones that flatter the woman, and not just let her feel like she is just a piece of meat. Now some of the lines might just be in all good fun to help break the ice. That is great and it can ultimately lead to ending up in bed with her at the end of the night. Heck what man doesn’t want that, but knowing what to say and how to pull it off can take a bit of practice. One thing that I did when I had to improve my game was practice in front of a mirror. Then I moved up to trying them out with friends just to see how they sounded. I even had some of my female friends listen to them and see what they thought, took their input and made the changes I had to make.
I still had my own fair bit of rejections but over time I found that I was starting to have more confidence and success. That is another key to making pick up lines work, you must be confident when you walk up to your intended target. She can sense your confidence. Nothing will get a woman’s attention more than a confident man. A great pick up line will get you in the door but from there you have to be confident enough to keep the conversation going. You can also talk to guys that have been picking up women for years and I am sure they will tell you some of their tricks they have used. One thing you will have to remember when you try to use a pick up line is use one that you are comfortable with and is in line with your personality. Be naturals with them and let them flow, don’t force it or try something that is completely out of your character.
