A Bundt cake is usually known as a desert cake cooked in a bundt pan. Bundt cakes are normally combined with several kinds of sweetening agents or sugar, flour, along with a bending agent or egg.
It is a desert of choice for meals on commercial events or occasions, particularly birthdays, weddings and anniversaries.
Below are the more common on bundt cakes and their recipes:
Chocolate Mayan Bundt Cake
Ingredients
Chocolate Glaze
• 2 cups of powdered sugar
• 2 oz Nestle Chocolatier 53 percent Cacao dark
• Chocolate baking bar ( broken into small pieces)
• ¼ up of melted butter
• ¼ cup of heavy whipping cream
• 1 pinch of salt
Cake
• Chocolate baking bar
• 6 oz of Nestle Chocolatier 53 percent Cacao dark
• 2 ¼ ups of all purpose flour
• 1 ½ tsp of ground cinnamon
• 1 tsp of baking soda
• ½ tsp of salt
• 1/8 tsp of ground cayenne pepper
• 1 cup of packed light brown sugar
• ¾ cup of butter
• 1 tbsp of vanilla extract
• 4 large eggs
• 1 cup of milk
Directions
For cake
• Preheat the oven to 350oF.
• Mix cinnamon, flour, salt, cayenne pepper and baking soda in a small mixing bowl.
• Beat granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract and butter in a large mixing bowl until it becomes creamy.
• Add 4 eggs, one at a time, and then beat in melted chocolate.
• Beat flour mix into creamed mixture, alternately, with the milk.
• Pour into a prepared bundt pan.
• Bake it for about 40 to 45 minutes or until the wooden pick inserted at the center comes out clean.
• Allow cooling for about 10 mins and transfer the cake in a serving plate.
• Drizzle the cake with chocolate glaze before serving.
For Chocolate Graze
• Place 1 ½ cups of powdered sugar in a medium mixing bowl and pour the whipping cream, butter melted chocolate and salt.
• Stir it until it has blended, and then add the remaining sugar, 1 tbsp at a time until pouring.
Glazed Almond Bundt Cake
Ingredients
• 1 cup of butter
• 2 cups of white sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 ½ tsp of almond extract
• 1 2/3 tsp of vanilla extract
• 2 ½ cups of all purpose flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• ½ tsp of salt
• ½ cup of ground almonds
• 1 cup of milk
Directions
• Preheat the oven at 350oF
• Blend together the baking powder, ground almonds, salt and flour in a small mixing bowl.
• In another mixing bowl, cream together 2 cups of white sugar and butter until it becomes fluffy and light.
• Beat the eggs, one at a time, and then stir it with 1 ½ tsp of vanilla and almond extract.
• Beat the flour mixture, alternatively, with 1 cup of milk. Mix it until it becomes incorporated.
• Pour the batter onto a large prepared pan.
• Bake it in the preheated oven for about 65 to 75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
• Cool it for about 10 minutes and transfer into a wire rack, and then combine ½ tsp of almond extract, toasted sliced almonds, ¾ cup of sugar and ¼ cup of milk.
• Lastly, pour over the warm cake.
