Your flagstone driveway will improve the look of your home . Your neighbors will want to have their driveway done after seeing the beautiful effect it made on your home. The life expectancy is 20 to 100 years. It is important to have a base for reinforcement when using the flagstone or brick. If no base is installed your driveway will suffer susceptible damage.
Before a driveway bed can be prepared , the old driveway has to be completely removed and hauled away. Then you have to dig up the underneath foundation of the old driveway to prepare for the bed to be prepared. This requires six to eight inches of crushed concrete to be poured and compacted. This allows water to drain and prevents weeds from growing up through the pavers.
Pavers use a polymer cement compound to cover the top . The polymer cement compound seals and hardens the top and give your new driveway it's color.
It pays to shop around and ask different paving companies about their driveway techniques and the paving products they use in remodeling driveways. There are ways to cut some of the expenses.
