How to Eat Healthy and Manage Your Weight

Health and fitness are very important in our lifestyle. In today’s scenario, life is packed with stress; where people look forward to adopt a healthy way of living. But it is not enough if one eats healthy food and exercise. He/she should know whether they are eating the right food with necessary components. Healthy lifestyles involve lot of choices including a balanced diet. A balanced diet not only helps you in eating healthy but also in weight management.

Protein plays an important role in keeping oneself alive and healthy. Important process like digestion, enzymes and hormones needed for metabolism will not take place in the body without protein. Protein is important for the growth and repair of muscles, skin, tendons, hair, eyes and other tissues. Different types of proteins are needed for various purposes. Proteins are made from 20 building blocks called amino acid. Out of these nine amino acids are got from the food we eat and others are produced in the body. Protein is available in meat, legumes, peas, beans, peanuts, grains, seeds and nuts, and vegetables. An American prefers legumes and grains in a peanut butter sandwich.

Consider carbohydrate cycling:

By using carbohydrate cycling which is good for the muscular growth, you help control hormones in your body, without unwanted addition of extra body fat. By adopting a proper strategy of eating healthy food you can build muscle without adding much body fat.

Excess body fat results from a disparity between energy intake and physical activity. Daily diet should include some fat. It is impossible to take a fat free food because even fruits and vegetables contain fats. Fats provide us with source of energy and components of fat are essential parts of our body which make hormones. The body cannot make fatty acids like linoleic and linolenic, which are very essential for the growth and healthy skin. So, these have to be supplied in the diet. Instead of eating high fat food, select food with right sort of fat packed with nutrients.

Eat often and regularly:

A proper quantity and timely flow of nutrients to your body helps in 24 hr growth cycle, body’s natural anabolic agents are activated to increase muscle growth. Eating three regular meals a day is important. A well balanced and nutritious food provides us with protein, vitamins, and minerals.
