Many above ground pools will require ample room for supports or struts to keep the sides of the pool in place. Consider the weight of the water contained within the pool and you’ll quickly see the need for the supports to have all the help they can get.
Also, you will need to consider a power source for your pool. All pools have filters, and those filters have to run on something. To keep your Indianapolis real estate from sporting a scum pond in the backyard, run a power cable out to your pool and make sure your filter is changed often. Also, make sure you know when to shut it off for the winter so it doesn’t jam or break in the cold. On top of that, you may also need to look into a specialized cover for your pool to keep it safe.
Pools can be a wonderful thing to have, but they can also have a significant impact on the room and quality of your Indianapolis real estate. Keep in mind these and other options when you shop for your pool, and remember, its’ your house, so get something that you feel good about living with.
