Here I am one month into my new free home based business and I must say although the learning curve is quite steep the experience so far has been enjoyable and rewarding.
The learning began when I started to look for the home based business that suited me. Here one needs to take into account;
• The type of product or service you are comfortable promoting
• The start up costs
• The running costs
• What the company supplies to assist you with promotion and sales
• How the compensation/commission plan works
• Does the company provide comprehensive training
There is a huge variety of products and services available to the budding home based business operator so take your time in choosing the one that you think you can promote.
There are opportunities available that have multiple income streams so you get to offer a number of services and opportunities to your customers and good residual income from those that join your business down line.
Work out how much you can afford to spend on getting your business started and stick to your budget, remember that big corporations have to run to a budget, home based business is no different. You can always adjust the budget as you get running and generate some income. The multi income stream business that I have joined is good in that I decide how much is spent on advertising and where it is spent allowing me to do what works for me. There are some great opportunities for free advertising online, just Google free advertising.
Most companies will provide you with all the promotional material needed and advice on how to use it. Once again as you progress with your business you will learn what works best for you. Perseverance pays when it comes to promoting your home based business, did you ever hear that old saying “the more I try the luckier I get”. The business I have joined has a number of tutorial videos that walk you through every step of the way and all for free.
Of course the main reason you have taken the plunge into working a business from home is to make money, yes life style and time with family etcetera are also strong reasons but lets face it you need the money to have the lifestyle. So be sure you understand the payment/compensation plan the company is offering. In some situations you need to make sales at no profit to you before you qualify for commission payments. Be patient as they say Rome wasn’t built in a day. The internet is loaded with advice on online marketing that is free, take advantage of this as it helps to reduce the steepness of the learning curve and speed up the income.
In my first month in this game I find one of the most enjoyable parts of the job is getting to know and helping those that join my down line. I have had contact with people from all over the world and hope to make some life long friends.
