Brides can wear whatever they like on their wedding day. But should they?
If the fashion of some brides is anything to go by, the use of trashy and slinky should be regulated. Cheap wedding dresses need not look shoddy or vulgar; they can be elegant and beautiful. All there is are two pointy pieces of fabric to cover the brides nipples, and a very elaborate necklace to cover her collarbones. 3. The Showgirl. Bare your heart on your wedding day if you must. But please, keep the rest of you covered. While excessive show of skin can launch careers in Vegas, it won t launch your wedding.
4. The Hotpants. A skimpy romper with lace at the top for a wedding dress? Please! There is absolutely nothing wrong with being comfortable on your wedding day. But comfortable is one thing; practically naked is another. Even if you only have room for cheap wedding dresses on your budget, you have no business picking out a dress that skimps on fabric yardage. More than any other day on your calendar, your wedding is the best day to cover up and beautifully so.
5. The Bikini. Brides dream of beach weddings; who doesn t? But getting married in the beach does not mean walking down the aisle in your bikini. Give your groom a break. You have tons of cheap wedding dresses to choose from. Don t choose the one that s guaranteed to give his mother a heart attack.
Remember, where bridal fashion is concerned, cheap wedding dresses do not have to look cheapo at all. The same goes for wedding cakes. If you know where to look and how, you can stretch the dollar without stretching the patience of family and friends.
